Today, I went to the shelter intending to adopt a different dog.
As soon as I walked in, I saw so many puppies jumping around excitedly… some were running and playing, while others rushed to my feet, begging for love.
But amidst all the chaos, one dog caught my eye immediately. He sat there calmly… so quiet… but his eyes were full of hope.
When I asked about him, the staff told me: “He was just returned today…”
Meet Yogi, an amazing Pitbull. He was adopted yesterday and brought back today. It hadnโt even been a full 24 hours. He didnโt do anything wrong, he caused no trouble… yet he was still rejected.
Hearing this broke my heart into pieces. ๐
Yogi is so friendly with people; he is always happy and gets along great with other dogs. Like other Pitbulls, he loves to run and burn off energy with his friends.
He had a minor eye issue previously and needed a small surgery. Now, he just needs eye drops twice a day. The small scar doesn’t affect his vision at all. The vet confirmed he is 100% healthy and ready for his new life.
Yogi is just over 6 months old and weighs about 16kg (37 lbs). He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.
After hearing his story, my heart felt so heavy. That quiet Pitbull with eyes full of hope… In that moment, I knew clearlyโhe had chosen me.
And I couldn’t leave him behind. So, I decided to bring Yogi home. ๐ โค๏ธ
Today marks the beginning of his new life… a life filled with the love, care, and safety that he truly deserves.
